Supporting my community through photography.
My love for photography comes for a desire to represent people and stories that otherwise would not be uplifted. I am particularly passionate about supporting BIPOC-led community gatherings and events that support, uplift and defend those who are systemically marginalized.
If you are a BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, immigrant, houseless organizer or belong to another marginalized community and are looking for an event photographer, please reach out. Projects based on the SouthSide of Chicago are particularly welcome.
I take on a limited number of low cost to no cost projects a year, so if cost is a concern, please still reach out.
Behind-the-Scenes
In addition to event photography, I specialize in capturing the behind-the-scenes moments that make the event possible. Consider bringing me on to document the planning process or the event set up and breakdown. Some of the best photographs of team interaction and collaboration happen before the event has even begun.
