Hey, my name is Adriano…

Adriano Kalin (Rodrigues) (he/him) is a Brazilian/American neon ultraviolet light fine art photographer. He seeks to push the boundaries of contemporary photography by demonstrating that neon ultraviolet light is a fine art medium. Thematically, he is committed to creating surreal visual worlds that explore the relationship between light and dark, identity, race, pain and healing. He suffers from chronic pain after being hit by a drunk driver in 2014 and is an outspoken advocate on the issue. Adriano is currently pursuing a BFA in Photography and Visual Communications at SAIC. He lives with his wife Rachel and their 3 cats in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.
